Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Police Inspector General, Rana Abdul Jabbar, inaugurated a ‘Police Khidmat Markaz’ in Dadyal, a town with a significant population of dual nationals, to offer a range of essential services under one roof.
The project was initiated by the AJK police department on a self-help basis. Dadyal Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ansar Ali and Station House Officer (SHO) Rashid Habib Masoodi led the effort, securing support from local dignitaries to ensure its successful completion.
IGP Jabbar commended the dedication of DSP Ali, SHO Masoodi, and their team, noting that their hard work would greatly benefit the local community. He also thanked the donors who provided financial assistance, highlighting their role as key contributors to collective welfare efforts.
Before the Khidmat Markaz opened, Dadyal residents had to travel 70 kilometers to Mirpur to access police services, explained SHO Masoodi. “Now, they can save both time and resources by accessing these services locally,” he said.
At the event, IGP Jabbar also presented shields to the dignitaries and police officers for their contributions to the project.
