“The Zionist regime has miscalculated… they will soon realize the strength and resolve of the Iranian people.”
Social media platform X has suspended the newly created Hebrew-language account linked to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, just one day after its launch.
The account, listed as @Khamenei_Heb, was suspended for “violating X’s rules” shortly after it shared a message warning Israel about its recent military actions. The post stated, “Zionists are making a miscalculation with respect to Iran. They don’t know Iran. They still haven’t been able to fully understand the power, initiative, and resolve of the Iranian people. We must make them aware of these realities.”
X’s community guidelines generally prohibit content from “violent and hateful entities” but sometimes allow posts from “state or governmental entities.”
Despite this policy, X suspended the account, with no immediate comment from Khamenei’s office or X.
This action takes place amid rising tensions following recent Israeli airstrikes targeting Iranian assets in response to a ballistic missile incident earlier in October.
Iran has long faced restricted access to platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook, with citizens often relying on VPNs to bypass these controls.
Despite such restrictions, Ayatollah Khamenei’s office maintains multiple accounts on X, sharing messages in various languages.
In February, Meta also removed Khamenei’s accounts on Facebook and Instagram over content related to Hamas.
