Winter gas supply schedule announced for Punjab, K-P

SNGPL’s new gas schedule aligns with winter demand, aiming to support stable heating and cooking needs.

The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced an updated winter gas supply plan to ensure consistent, high-pressure gas availability during peak hours, addressing seasonal demands.

Effective from November 2024, the revised schedule designates specific time slots for full-pressure gas supply, allowing consumers to plan their cooking and heating activities accordingly. According to local reports, the updated timetable includes:

Morning: 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM

Afternoon: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Evening: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

SNGPL officials stated that the changes align with government directives aimed at improving service reliability. They assured that consumers across Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and other SNGPL-served regions would benefit from this initiative.

Winter typically sees a surge in gas demand for heating and hot water, which, combined with shorter daylight hours, often strains supply systems. The new schedule is expected to alleviate these challenges and provide stable service to over 7.22 million customers.
